Our Members Boutique

Here we have a photo of some of the work that was available at the 2006 Quilts On The Rocks.

Boutique

Once again Carla and Jan will be running the members boutique. The boutique is a sales area (similar to a gift shop) which will be part of the "Quilts on the Rocks " show where we will sell items made by our guild members. The boutique will be opened both days during the entire show- Friday, October 2nd, 11am until 7pm and Saturday October 3rd from 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Hopefully this will allow all visitors as well as guild members to have a chance to get an early start on their gift list for Christmas or to just buy something special and/or unique!

The boutique is run in conjunction with our "Quilts on the Rocks" quilting and stitchery display and therefore we hope to have quality materials and workmanship in each of the items submitted. We hope that our members will strive to bring our boutique above the level of the average craft sale!!! We want visitors (who will be the buyers) to be impressed with the quality, selection, originality of patterns and most of all the members' unique touch in the items offered. Members add their own unique touch to items they submit.

We try to offer a large variety in the items available as well as a variety of prices. Some members may even have items in the show itself that are for sale, and these items will be identified as such and the white glove ladies from the show will advise the boutique when an item is sold. The item will be identified as sold but will remain in the show until the show is over, just to be fair to the maker since our show does have Viewer's Choice judging.

The BOUTIQUE is divided into two categories:
Christmas Corner with no restrictions as to Christmas craft items....
Regular items of which members incorporate quality quilting, stitchery, needlework, patchwork and other related techniques.

There is always something to catch your eye. Some of the items include quilts, wall hangings, vests, sweatshirts, quillows, pillows, jewellery , sewing-cases, shoe bags, book covers- telephone / paperbacks, totebags, pot holders, hot plate pads, placemats, aprons and on and on.... An excellent time to pick up a few Christmas gifts for some of the special people on your shopping list.
