Cuddle Quilt Days

Scheduled Cuddle Quilt Days to year end are:
November 18, 2017
January 20, 2018
March 24, 2018
April 21, 2018

Service to the community is a very important
commitment for our guild.  This takes the form of the creation and donation of Cuddle Quilts to
15 organizations in our City.

Our high quality cuddle quilts,  made with caring and compassionate hands, bring comfort to those who struggle with life situations; the newborn in  Neonatal, the Mom and child(ren) seeking shelter at Genevra House,  the child in care, or the senior moving into a care facility.

Our guild has an ongoing association with Maison Vale Hospice, a palliative care centre.  We continue
to supply the Hospice with bed quilts, placemats and themed mini memory blocks (12” x 12”) showing our support for the families of residents.

  • Participation in the Cuddle Quilt programme is
    available to all members.
  • Donated fabrics, backing, and purchased batting are
available free of charge to any programme
  • Quilts of all sizes are accepted.
  • A planned project item (with kit) is aimed at skill
building, or you can work on your own Cuddle Quilt project.
  • Learning, fun and fellowship are the order of the day.
  • During the guild year five Cuddle Quilt Saturdays
    are scheduled.

During 2014, our Cuddle Quilt programme received the following awards:

    • Recognition certificate from the Children’s Aid
    • Recognition certificate from Our Children Our
    • Chair’s Award for a group dedicated to
supporting the Maison Vale Hospice and
